Which Harmony?

I'm eagerly looking forward to replacing my current PC Client with an HD-100 (George says May...). For maximum WAF factor and to eliminate remote clutter, I'm hoping to merge remote functions into a universal remote. This will need to control the HD-100, power the display on/off, control the volume on my receiver (since I'll be outputting via spdif), and switch inputs (on both the receiver and the display) from the HD-100 to the Wii and back. To accomplish all of these things elegantly, I'm planning to go to a Harmony rather than the cheaper JP1 options.

The Harmony 550 can be had rather cheaply now ($50ish after rebate), while the 670 seems to have a better control layout for PVR use but would be more expensive ($90). Can anyone comment on pros/cons of these models? Other options I should consider?

I love my 688, it made a HUGE difference with WAF.

Unless you need the features of the high-end models, I think the choice comes down to button layout (and button size). If there's a store nearby where you can compare different models that might help.

I'd also check out www.remotecentral.com

When I was shopping for mine, they had great reviews and comparisons between models.

I've got the 525, which is pretty much the same as the 550, absolutely love it and the waf is extremely high.

Only minor niggles are the buttons aren't that great i.e. they don't always feel that responsive, but you can live with it, at least I have for 3 years, what I would say is that having had one for so long I wouldn't hesitate to buy the more expensive model now.
