Hiding Critical Settings for "Normal" Users

Is there a way of hiding all the administration settings so that a normal user (my Kids) can't screw around with them!?

There is not an easy-to-do method. There are lots of threads asking/discussing a method by which the concept of "users" could be implemented, such that different menus (among other things) could be made available to specific people.

You could use the dynamic menus (default with SageMC, or as an add-in to the stock UI) to remove the menus that you didn't want them to have. This is only really an option if they use a specific TV, since it'd be somewhat of a pain to switch STVs all the time.
