Transfer of DD, DTS, etc

Hello all - Im looking to purchase a HD extender when they become available again, but had a question in the interim. Will the network connection on the extender transfer DD, DTS etc to my receiver? (via the HDMI connection of course).

Yep. I do it right now with my Onkyo TX-SR605. I have the HD100 connected to it only by HDMI and it reads DD when watching HD content thru it. I haven't paid any attention if DTS shows up when I play a ripped DVD thru it, but I can't imagine that if it does DD that it wouldn't do DTS. I love how simple my Setup has become now that I only use HDMI for my DVD player and HD100 (oh and optical for my CD palyer).

Great thx - I was curious if Id have to buy a higher end sound card to enjoy applicable soundtracks, but it sounds like I will not need to.

Can you explain what you are using to rip your DVD's? Ive been trying to research the process, but still a bot confused.
