question, no data on guide
Hello all, I recently bought the bundle with the hauppage 1600 and sagetv. Ive got the pci card in and all setup, my problem is three things when i open the guide every channel says "no data", second when i try to watch anything i get nothing but a black screen for a couple mins i was receiving one channel(66) but now thats gone as well, third thing is the remote that came with the 1600 is very limited none of the arrow keys are doing anything in sage(have to use page to get anything to move etc.). Im sure this is the wrong forum i just figured im missing something and this is an easy fix, thanks in advance.

Where are you located and how did you configure the tuner and its guide data? Did you used to have guide data & now there is nothing, or it just never got filled in so you've never had any guide listings?

Im located in phoenix, arizona. I just set it up about an hour ago and have had no data at all, shouldnt be a firewall blocking it either. I setup the tuner via the quick-setup paper that came with it, its setup via composite. I notice that if go to source wizard summary and look at the details of the tuner it says, Funtioning: true, Network Encoder: False, Currently being used for live TV: False, Input Type Composite, RF Channel n/a. Ok im actually now getting the Epg data fully, i went and double checked that i had forwarded it through my router and i hadnt. Im still receiving no video/sound on any channel though. Now its saying currently beng used for tv: true, but im still just receiving a greyish screen and no sound. thanks

It can take a while to download all the EPG data the first time. Unless the above line contains a typo, it looks like it has been downloaded now.
