Unhappy 250/350 compatability issues

I have a XP Pro System with 1 PVR-250-16 and a PVR-350. I'm seeming to have compatiblity issues with the cards. I can get one card to record fine (don't know which one) but the other seems to give my stuttery video with warbly audio. Once channel recording is fine then all other channels have the playback issues.

I've also experience the initiation issues with the bad picture with the static along the bottom of the screen. Then I do the change the quality down ->close sage->open sage and set setting back to great quality.

I've seen posts that others have had problems with these two cards and others haven't. Any advice on getting this stuff to work?

I can get the cards to work for a time and then after several hours it all goes bad again. Also had trouble getting them installed and working with SageTV. Many crashes on startup of SageTV and unrecognized cards.

1. Is a fresh clean driver install ala SHS site instructions the right way to go?

2. Also what are the lastest stable and/or correct drivers to use. I've been using the 17a disk that came with both cards and according to device manager i have version: 1.17.390.21283

Setup:
Intel D845PEBT2 motherboard
Pentium 4 2.4 MHZ
XP Pro SP1
512 Mg Ram
Radeon 9000 video card
SoundBlaster Live sound card

Please help...this is very frustrating.

You can try the very latest drivers from the SHS site, I think hcw1_8_22024 is the latest. I tried the hcw1_8_22020_pp2 this morning. It looked like it might correct the problem, I did not see the static when I started the WinTV2000 application like I normally did. However, I was not able to get sageTV to startup with the drivers, it hung during the startup. I ran out time and had to return to my older drivers. I hope to do more testing of this problem tomorrow using the newer version and on my newest computer, which I do not know if it has any problem with the mixed cards yet.
