Is there any way to fix core animations from being broken during Live TV video?

Problem description:

When transition special effects on highlighted items (switching from one highlighted item to another) will not animate with live TV video window active. it will just jump immediately to the next icon... the classic way before core animations existed.

I have notified SageTV support about this reproducable issue. They don't seem to be too motivated to help fix this problem affecting SageMC since they cant reproduce it on the standard STV.

Please remember that the correct course of action for issues in any customization, including the hidden extras that I've added to the default STV, is to tell the author about the problem first. If the customization's author determines there is a problem in the core, then they should be the one to contact SageTV. Tech support for users is for the SageTV-provided product, not for what other people have created & added to the product, so it doesn't surprise me that support won't look into it further.

The author of a customization can contact support about issues they can reproduce, of course.
