Network Encoder Issues on Firewire STB Help!!
Hi,
First off, I have 6 other tuners which work 100% in Sage TV, both NTSC, QAM, and ATSC.... I have Charter Digital cable service with the Motorola DCT 6200 cable box with working firewire ports. (non 5c!!) I have set it up locally on the my main computer, and it works 100%, but if I run the sgraphrecorder on a machine, and then have my Sage TV server connect to it over the network, it has tons of dropped frames, and jittery.... I have tried different machines, 1Gb/100Mb (no difference actually) and to no avail... If someone has an idea for me to use my firewire recording in Sage TV over the network, please pipe in... Oh, I did try using Sage's network encoder, but I was using the trial on the encoder, and a licensed copy on the other machine, and the server never "saw" the encoder..... (I am not buying a second copy of Sage TV for the encoder if I do not know if it will even work!!) I cannot plug the Motorola into the server, as it does not have firewire drivers for Windows x64 Anyway help would be greatly appreciated!!! |
