are the plugins interchangeable?

I prefer SageTV over SageMC, but I like some of the plugins, such as the updated netflix plugin with "watch it now capabilities." Can I install this plugin on SageTV?

Really? What do you like better about the Standard interface?

If it says SageMC, then it's sageMC only. You can't use in the standard STV. There are some that can be used in both, but they'll be labeled as such. The Netflix plugin is SageMC only at this time.

I like the clean interface, it is simple.

Well, if you like the plugins available for SageMC, but like the interface of the standard SageTV STV you might want to try Malore Menus for SageMC

I also like the default STV. Although I have doctored it up a bit. But I have found some of the plugins label SageMC ONLY DO work on the standard STV. One example is the SageMC google calendar. I would suggest backing up and just trying the ones you like. Some may work.

I do like SageMC also, I find it to be very sleek. There is just something that keeps bringing me back to the default. Honestly I am not completely sure. I believe one of the things is the Default I have setup the way I want. However after looking at the latest versions of SageMC, I might be trying it again.

That is what keeps me with the Standard STV. The SagemC malore menus are limited, I can set up to 12 different views in the Standard STV using the malore menus.
