Floppydtv-s2 not detected correctly

Just trying the latest SageTV, my DVB-S2 card is detected in the tuner setup but it seems to think it is a DVB-T card and then asks me for a region etc, before going on to scan no channels. I don't get a choice of satellites. Am I missing something obvious here?

Does it show up correctly in other software such as the FireDTV software?

Yes it's fine in Firedtv and Progdvb. I'm reinstalling the system tonight so I may see if it works after that, I was using it with the MCE drivers rather than the BDA, so perhaps that has confused things.

I'd really like to get this going as I like the idea of the extenders for Sage, especially considering an extender for VMC is around £200.

Are you using one of these cards?

I have a FireDTV-S and a FireDTV-C both work very well. I have ordered a FireDTV-S2 but it's not shown up (over two weeks ago!)

You must install the BDA drivers not the MCE ones, there designed to emulate a DVB-T device.

A reinstall with the BDA drivers fixed this. It's a bit temperamental with channel changes but I have a few things to try from Sage support
