Is there way to show art for video collections?

SageTV supports thumbnails for media files, but not for the directory itself.

Do you see your thumbnails for the DVDs at all? It doesn't sound like you do, so: where did you place the picture files for the DVDs? Appendix I of the PDF manual shows where they go for DVDs.

I can see them at the DVD level, I just didn't want to have a flat file of DVDs, but instead wanted to group them. I wanted to use a picture to make it nicer to browse. So I guess it will just display a generic DVD, until I drill down to the actual DVD level.

What STV are you using?

In the default STV's video browser, the Folder view shows the directory hierarchy & a folder entry in the list should be showing an animated slideshow of the thumbnails for the videos in that folder. It shouldn't be showing generic DVD art if the DVDs have thumbs.

I'm trying to organize my DVDs hierarchically. For example, top level is MyShowCollection under it is Season 1, Season 2, etc. Under each season is Disk 1, Disk2, etc. I know that a folder.jpg can be used at the video_ts level to show a picture when moving around on sage. Is there a way (a plug-in maybe?) to have a picture show up at each level? I have them arranged that way, but only get the generic DVD image to appear.

ex: MyShowCollection picture->Season 1 picture
-> Disk 1 picture
-> Disk 2 picture
-> etc
->Season 2 picture
-> etc

I'm using the default STV. I'll have to go check and make sure I have the art in the correct spot.
