HD100, HDMi to DVI cable at 720p

I'm trying to setup the HD100 to feed my sanyo Z2, a 720p projector with
a DVI connection.

I have tried a 15 feet cable from monoprice and a 6 feet belkin cable.

In the HD100 settings menu, I cycle through with the "video out" button I only get a clear output at 480p. 720p is seeded with green and red specks

Am I missing something ?

I have seen a lot of comments about 1080 problems, but I had hopes for 720p. I'd rather not have to go to component.

I want to see how this plays out as I will be buying a 720p projector in the near future. The only question is if I also buy an HD extender or "extend" my home server with a graphics card capable of displaying HD...
