Click beta tab. They revamped their site a few weeks back, but kept old pages and didn't redirect to new ones for some reason.

With the old drivers there was a huge difference for me. For digital channels there was a lot of white and green blocks scattered throughout the picture and it was a little blocky and stuttered. Also the analog wasn't as good as my PVR500, but I never took the time to tweak the capture settings for it like I did for the PVR500.

I just got my HVR-1600 QAM working with SageTV last night and it almost brought me to tears. After 4-5 weeks of trying to get OTA HD with BTV, Sage has triumphed where others have failed.

I'm using the newest Beta drivers by the way.

I cannot be more pleased with this product than I am right now, finally I'm able to record the March Madness games in HD!

Can you talk a bit about tweaking the capture settings? What sort of tweaks are possible? And, what application is used to do these tweaks?

Thanks,

Mitch

There is a thread or two somewhere on the forums that covers tweaking the capture settings. It's been a long time since I did mine so I don't recall much about the details. It's about calibrating the brightness, contrast, etc... It can make a big difference in PQ.

I don't see them on the support page; http://www.haupauge.com/pages/suppor...1600.html#beta
Try this:

http://www.haupauge.com/site/support...t_hvr1600.html

Then click on the Beta tab 1/3 down the page.

New Hauppage capture device?

What is this new "analog capture device" from Hauppage that is rumored to be coming out? Anyone have a link for further info?

I'm trying to get ClearQAM out of a Diamond/ATI 650 card and having no luck. Have also tried to set up recording from the cable box via Firewire, but am using Vista X64 and can't get the drivers to load. I understand that on the Mac, this is a plug and play operation.
