Playback Timeline stuck at 0:00 on digital recordings
Since upgrading from 6.3.5 to 6.3.9RC (And now 6.3.10), I've noticed that all of my digital recordings (I have 3 tuners, one Hauppauge Roslyn, 2 Pinnacle PCTV HD Cards (One of them currently broken due to unrelated driver problem)) have the timeline stuck at 0:00 during playback. This causes the show to play correctly, but any skips (comskip) or FF/FR cause the show to restart at 0:00.
Anyone know if tehre is a fix for this, Or, if not, if I can get 6.3.5 back? |

I think there was a bug with the RCs up to 6.3.9 which caused problematic digital recordings. I had similar issues. However, I was told that with 6.3.10 this was fixed.
I confirmed that my recordings made with up to 6.3.9 wear problematic. New recordings with 6.3.10 are fine. Have you tried the new 6.3.10 and if so are the recordings of this version OK? You may have to scrap the recordings made with previous RCs like I did after watching them without using skip fwd.

On 6.3.10
I am on 6.3.10 now and it still happens. Last night, I took another look at my Sage.properties and saw something I didn't expect - the firewire SGraphRecorder has encoding properties prefixed like mmc/encoders/12345. Then, there are prefixes for some properties like this: mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/{property_name}, mmc/encoders/12345/2/0/{property_name}, mmc/encoders/12345/3/0/{property_name}. There are 3 sets of these prefixed properties. One of them is the encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream. So for this encoder, there are FOUR settings of encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream. The mmc/encoders/12345/2/0 version of this was set to false. Flipped to true. Scheduled a bunch of recordings for this weekend...so we'll see if it did the trick. Had no problems with live viewing last night. Incidentally, this wasn't always 100% reproducible with recordings or live tv before - maybe its because I had a 2/3 chance of grabbing the "right" setting.
