Maybe newbie question on Watch API method
Hi,
is it possible to use the Watch APi method to play a DVD through a HD Extender? I have a setup where I have DVDs ripped to \\Server1\Kids and \\Server2\Movies. I'm OK with having the \\server1\kids directory imported in to Sage but I want to have the other directory hidden from the kids.
But, I'd like to have an app or a way to still play the things from the \\server2\movies share. There is a CQC driver that exposes the Play API call and though it works fine for an AVI file, I can't get it to work for a DVD. I've tried specifying "\\server2\movies\SpiderMan\", "\\server2\movies\SpiderMan\VIDEO_TS", and "\\server2\movies\SpiderMan\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO" but with all of those I only get :
sage.PlaybackException : Error (-3,0x0): There was a problem accessing the filesystem for playback
I know sage has permission to the share. I even opened it up for everyone just as a test but that didn't work. Any other ideas? or does it have to be imported into SageTV before playing on the extender?
If it does have to be through Sage, is there a way to passport protect certain imported network shares so that the contents can't be seen by anyone without entering a PIN?
