Logitech Harmoney One

Anyone using the Harmony One with either Sage or the HD Extender ? If so, did you run into any problems ?

Thanks

Not the ONE specifically, but I have used the 520 and the 890, although not with the RF Extender, and all is well. Everything got much better for response with the new faceplate on the extender, as it picks up the signal aimed in pretty much any direction.

I think I might actually prefer the Harmony One button layout over the others I have, but can't justify the cost at the moment. I also don't really like touch screens on my remote. The 1000 seems like torture.

Oh, and if you're wondering about codes, everything is in the database on Harmony, Discrete Power ON/OFF and everything.

Let me know how you like it... I'm debating going out and getting the ONE this week, as I like the look of the button layout.

Just got the Harmony One and it works great except on channel changes it goes 2 places instead of one. Its configure with Sage 6.2 in the Logitech software setup page. I set channel up and channel down to respective buttons, oh well still working on it.

Try changing the timing of the buttons in the Harmony software. You can wlalk thru a wizard if you tell it you're having a problem of it doing too many repeats.

Can anyone help me with this? I have had a Harmony One for about three months and have been using it with Vista Media Center.

I downloaded a trial of SageTV to see if the purchase was worth it, but I have no clue how to make my Harmony One launch SageTV.

I have sagetv's settings set to MCE remote, and I have the Harmony One acting like an MCE remote. However with that when I tell it I want to watch live tv, it opens media center's live tv. When I tell it I want to watch a video, it opens my videos on media center.

How can I get these actions to work with sagetv instead?

Thanks.

Edit: Ok so I was testing out Placeshifter instead of full on SageTV. I just installed that, and now when I hit Watch Video it is doing it in both SageTV & launching Vista media center. So that's a step in the right direction, but hasn't fixed it yet. I tried disabling all 4 services in Vista that have the name "Media Center" in them, yet it still launches when I hit a corresponding button on the remote. So what service am I missing that's controlling that?

You have to stop/disable all the Media Center services and the ehtray process that intecepts the remote commands and uses them on VMC. You can only run one or the other at the same time.

I disabled all 4 services and stopped ehtray.exe from loading. Interesting enough, when I hit "My Videos" on the remote, it still loads both.

The colored buttons don't seem to do anything anymore though (but I never used those in the first place).

Edit: So to add even more confusion to this, I disable ehtray.exe in msconfig. I reboot, re-check, and it's still disabled. I hit "My Videos" on the remote, and it loads u[ media center. I go back to msconfig, and it has recreated an entry for ehtray.exe (still showing my other one as disabled). So it somehow appears to be a protected file, or there is some other service running. As I said I disabled all 4 that have "Media Center" in them........

I think when I was messing with it before I had to run as admin and actually renamed the file or the whole folder so it wouldn't execute. Search the forums-I think other alternatives are mentioned.
