Can't really help you, but if you can take it back, that's what I'd do. I got it installed and running, after a lot of messing with it, but it only tunes 1/2 the channels my ATI card tunes.

I traded mine in for an HVR-1800 MCE kit at newegg after messing with it for a full weekend. The 1800 was no problem.

When I started this thread, I was using the HVR-1600. Now I've switched to the 1250, and I want to report that installation was a breeze. No tricks to offer since it just worked right away.

Did you get the analog tuner to work or was it just the Digital that was a breeze?

I have a 1600 & 1250 running together quite nicely.

had a problem with swapping the remote IR receiving, but I think now after a re-install of Sage, it appears working...

2 HD broadcasts and 1 analog recording together at the same time. No sweat.

I got the 1250 uber cheap at a CC closeout special last week. - the 1600 was $90 last summer & the 1250 $40.

I was having the 4gb issue with my pvr-500 and had to lower my system down to 2gb.... So I picked up some 1250's and had the same issue... I just found this thread. ARgggh

I am returning the 1250's tomorrow and going to grab an hvr 2250

Guess I should have looked at the supported list.

I can't seem to get the analog (or digital) working at all with this card. All I'm interested in is the analog.
