I got some really inexpensive HDMI cables from http://bigtv4you.com/ and they do seem to connect each conductor from one end to the other.

I am highly skeptical of the claims made by some cable manufacturers about how monstrously good their cables are.

For jaw dropping prices on cables that work and are fully certified...

I got a 6 foot with regular shipping for around $10

I just made the move to HD. I checked the monoprice web site for HDMI cables. I will need a couple cables to hook up a Blue Ray player to my new HDTV, 120 Hz. I will need about a 3 - 5 foot HDMI cable.

The monoprice web site has many different types of HDMI cables. Which cable would the best quality that is sold by monoprice?

Dave

Just get the HDMI 1.3 Category 2 cables and you'll be set.

Ahhh.. this thread make me happy that I live 10 minutes for monoprice, and never even have to wait for shipping.. ;-) will call is so nice... As for the different types of HDMI cables on the site, the most significant difference is whether it's rated for 'in-wall' installation, and whether you are going to use it that way. Also, the Flat cables they sell are very nice for certain installations.

Yet another +1 for Monoprice. Got a 100' CAT5e for about $11, after the nearby OfficeMax wanted $79.99. I stopped by a nearby Radio Shack to look for a USB Micro B cable for my new cellphone, they had it for $19.99... so I got it on monoprice for 81 CENTS.

Monoprice is good I have had issue with some of their component cables in the past. I prefer bluejeanscable.com they have good quality cables at good prices.

Monoprice all the way!

I'd never buy from that certain monsterously slimy company with all their "trademark" issues even if their prices we 10 times less than monoprice (instead of 10 times more like they really are). I don't want my money going to support the process of strong arming other companies that use monster in their marketing material.

I agree. When it comes to analog cables, you can do a bit better than monoprice since tighter tolerances can mean a better picture. Blue Jean is good stuff.
