Information on favorites convert for 6.3.5.159 and also comskip

Thanks to all on this forum that have helped me in the past.

Some simple questions that I cannot find answers to on the forum on the manual.

I upgraded from 6.1.9.146 to 6.3.5.159 this weekend. Very nice. however, I can no longer see the convert option on my favorites setup. I thought I remembered setting a switch somewhere so I can see, but cannot remember where. In setup, I have set Advanced menu options on and have enabled expanded options for the record command.

I can see the convert option for already recorded shows. Please can someone help?

As a related subject, can somone point me to the best commercial skipping option thread. I want to setup my sage to
1. Record a favortie
2. Remove the commercials (I have done this outside of sage with comskip and made it work).
3. Convert to MP4 for my IPOD
4. Replace or delete original if needed.

Just point me to the best thread and I will read and test.

Automatic conversion of favorites is not a feature of the stock UI. It's an STVI add-on that you must have imported at some point. To continue using that add-on, you'll have to re-import it each time you upgrade to a new version of Sage.

A quick look at the Downloads section of the forum turns up one called Auto Compress for Default STV; there may be others as well. I don't have one that I personally use or recommend; all I know is what I see in the Downloads list.

But presumably you must have one that you were using before. It should still be on your system; you just need to re-import it to get it to show up in the UI again.
