Asus ATI HD 3450 - composite sync and interlaced output?

Hi,

A quick question for those of you who do the VGA -> RGB SCART thing without any fancy electronics...

I have just had to rebuild my PVR (the last one died in a puff of magic smoke) and I am using an ASUS M2A-VM HDMI motherboard which I can select the composite sync and interlace options on, but the output to my TV is garbled, so I assume something isn't wired up. I am using the same timings as I used before, so I don't think that is the problem.

I am thinking of an ASUS ATI HD 3450 card but I don't know if this will suffer from the same problem. Does anyone have a suggestion for a low power, passively cooled, PCI-E card that will just work with the VGA -> RGB SCART trick without a sync combiner or any other complex electronics?

Thanks,

Dooferlad
