Video "Info" keeps being shown on videos for no reason

This is probably a simple thing, but I can't find the proper search terms to find a solution. In videos every once in a while it's like someone presses the info button displaying the video title/description and time bar. When this happens the only way to get rid of it is to press the info button. Does anyone have an idea of why this keeps happening? Seems to do it on any video we watch, and no one has pressed or done anything when it happens. It's very weird.

The only time I see this behavor is when I add files to my import folders and Sage scans them.

Is this using the default STV w/o any customizations? If not, have you tried the default STV?

Do you have a wireless keyboard connected, or something sending spurious commands?

Sorry I didn't mention it, this is with SageMC, I have not tried the default interface in a while..I don't like it. The idea about the wireless keyboard is a good one I should have thought of. It sits undisturbed most of the time but it's not a very good one so wouldn't surprise me if it was sending strange commands. I'll try ditching the keyboard and if nothing comes of that in a day or two, I'll grudgingly try the default interface. Thanx for the tips, I'll post results.

I've moved this to the customizations forum, since you are using a custom setup. I thought I saw posts about this using SageMC in the past. If you ever try it with the default STV & it happens, let us know.

A while ago, I tested and saw this happen in both SageMC and the default UI, but I had to rebuild my system and now it lools like it only happens in SageMC. It may be a bug, but I never sent in a bug ticket since I use it as a "feature" so that I know that Sage has spotted new imported videos.

I don't get that result in the default STV when the OSD is off and an import scan finds new media and/or finishes. If it is related to new imported media files found, it may have to do with that hook in SageMC.

Looks like when the import scan is complete there is a hook sent to the client; from sage0.txt

The default UI ignores it, but SageMC does do some OSD stuff with some errors noted, from sageclient0.txt
