Client DVD Playback Error
I am planing to convert to Sage from BTV/BM this weekend. In the process of makign sure everything is "working properly".
I have the Sage Server setup and running perfectly. TV, Music and DVD's (vob rips on my hard drive) play perfectly on the server in my theatre room. I am using the Client software downstairs and everything works as expected--except playing the DVD vobs. I get the following error: "Sage.playbackexception:ERROR (-3,0x80070057). There was a problem accessing the filesystem for playback" The DVD's, music and recorded shows are all housed on the same Raid 5 array in the server computer. Music and recorded shows play fine, DVD vobs won't play. Any ideas? Both systems are running Vista 32 Home Premium. Thanks in advance for any help. I am really looking forward to switching to Sage!

DVDs cannot be streamed vioa the server, so the client has to be able to read the files itself. One way to do that is to use UNC paths for the vieo import direcories & make sure the client has permission to read those locations.
If using service mode on the server, the service will need to be configured to log in as a user w/a password so it can access the UNC paths. - Andy
