Background Image Scaling Problem

So I'm using a small image as the background of some larger panels, and have it set to "resize to fit" so that the image fills the entire panel. I'm seeing a weird gradient type effect at the right edge of the panel - almost like the image there is slowing blending into a mostly alpha white? Any idea what's going on here?

What does the source image look like unstretched? Are you sure that gradient isn't there in the source, and you're just noticing it now because it's stretched out?

If the source image does have some sort of border that you don't want stretched, use the Scaling Insets property to leave that part of the image unscaled.

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I created the source images myself so I know there isn't anything weird. They are just a couple of pixels wide - maybe a wider image will work better.....
