Best Hydrid recorder?

So what is the best Hybrid recorder out there? I have a HDHR now, but need analog... (Vista 64 so my pvr350 is dead )

WinTV-HVR-950 USB stick
WinTV-HVR-1800 (current favorite)
AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB (AP6 R)
AVerTV Bravo Hybrid PCI-E
Fusion HDTV5 products...
WinFast PxDTV2300 H

Hmmm, the other thing that would be nice is if one had separate inputs for analogue and Digital if it is a dual tuner..

Thanks for any input,
-Dwight

i have the ati theater 650 internal pcie card, which does analog and over the air hd. i think it's the best analog i've seen, and i've had hauppauge 150, 1600hvr, medion/phillips/lg something or other, pinnacle. that said, you can of course still tell it's analog. there are two versions, hybrid and combo, one of which you can only use one tuner at a time, so not good for sage. i think you want combo, but double check that. It was $129 at microcenter

I run my analog tuners off a electroline splitter, and try to keep the lines short. Although I still am sending my signal to all the jacks in the house even where there are mvps, as I doubt I will ever get sage to a point where i no longer need a backup way to just flip on a tv.

What branded version do you have? The Visiontek version on Newegg.com isn't getting the best reviews (only a couple however) and MicroCenter doesn't seem to carry it anymore. I found a MSI version (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815127006) anyone have any experience with it?

mine is visiontek, and my microcenter (cincinnati) still has plenty . reading the newegg reviews, i would say they are mostly irrelevant to a sage user, with the exception of the ones that had poor picture quality, but that could be bad card, bad cable line, and (most likely) bad user. I agree that catalyst sucks, but that's because i'm a sage snob now. I quit using vista on my server a long time ago for other problems it caused.

Hmmm... I do use Vista 64, so it would be nice if someone had a recommendation that could confirm that it works with Vista 64.

Sorry to be stupid about the ATI650 Pro, but I've always been a bit cloudy on this card. But i've heard it called a combo card and I know you can do 1 HD and 1 Analog, but can you do 2 Analog and no HD or 2 HD and no Analog?

Just want to get things straight.

Thanks,

BT

2 seperate tuners on the card. One is HD and one is analog. No other options.

I belive this way it works now
If it label as ATI 650, You can only rec from only Analog or HD Tuner one at time
If it label as ATI 650 Combo, You can rec from both Analog and HD Tuner at same time just like HVR 1600 and 1800

Stay away from the HVR 1600 if you will do any amount of analog recording. The quality of the analog tuner is horrible (in my view). It replaced my ATI ehome tuner and that was a big step down. There are many similar views on the web. I will replace it with the ATI card.
