No LiveTV Video on Asus P5E-VM HDMI Client

Hey all,

I have 2 HTPCs comprised of the same hardware (listed below) running the Sage TV Client and neither is able to receive live tv from my main server. Each PC is connected to a display device via HDMI and is outputting at 1080p. In addition, both PCs have had UAC and the Windows Firewall disabled. The Sage TV Client is able to find the server on start-up but despite what video mode is chosen (basic, medium, standard, advanced) I only see a blank black screen, no audio or video, during the video test. I have installed the client software on another PC with different hardware that is running Windows XP and was able to receive live tv from the server without a problem. Any help in resolving this issue would be very much appreciated.

System:
OS: Vista Ultimate x86
Motherboard: ASUS P5E-VM HDMI
CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6750
RAM: 2 GB

Thanks,
Ryan

Make sure you have java 1.0.6_3 installed. (the latest). What video card drivers are you using? Also go into Detailed setup and choose a specific video decoder to use. Do not leave it at default.

Gerry,

Thanks for the tip! The updated JRE took care of the problem.
