UPnP support for extenders?

Does anyone see any major hurdles to implementing UPnP control points in a way that extenders could support?

Does anyone see problems making SageTV extenders into uPnP renderers (subject to limitations of what is play-backable in the Sage API and what is play-backable on any given extender)?

I'm thinking of porting the Sage music feature (or whatever portion can be supported) to a UPnP alternative (with first focus on JRMC). I think I can see my way clear to making it work on extenders but I wonder if anyone can foresee a "gotcha" that I might be missing. I've been off of the SageTV kick for a while, and I haven't developed with extenders in mind.

TIA,
Stuart
