HD extender not saving video output 720P

I believe this was already asked, but I cannot find the thread. When I go into the settings menu on the extender I go to video output and set the out put to 720P from 480 by pressing the "Video out" button. I save and then boot to the Sagetv menu. But after I go into standby mode and back to the setting menu, it's back to 480.

What gives?

Thnaks

It says 720p in the config menu? I've never seen that happen.

stanger89:

Are you saying it works in your setup, because I have the same problem. What type of video connection are you using? I am using component, and on every restart the system reverts to 480i output.

Component or HDMI, if I change the resolution in the basic setup area (pressing the resolution button on the remote) it sticks.

Not that this is NOT in Detailed Setup where you can also pick a resolution.

Is there a way to get back to the Basic Setup screen while using the default STV after having selected "Connect to Server"?

Hit the Home button with it in standby.

Thanks, stanger89. This seems to have worked, though I had to hit the "Menu" button on the device, as the "Home" button on the remote just returned to the menu screen. The was a considerable pause and then a screen appeared that let you opt out of the AutoConnect, but that also required pushing the button on the unit, rather than the remote.

Looks like all's well.
