Thanks, but please remember this isn't just my work. This is a team effort from various forum members.

jphipps & Kricker are the main contributors so far.

looking good I have a question been meaning to ask you

Are you using the universal tagging and such when you are adding to metadata properties? The only reason I ask is people seem to want to keep those pretty clean and use universal properties when adding to them.

The custom grouping sounds allot like the tagging in my new version that is also the reason I am asking.

Great work Ortus Team! It all looks so crisp, clean, and extremely functional. Thanks for posting the updates and pics Ben.

I will dream of Ortus for months to come until it is released

No, we didn't want to clutter up the metadata properties, it is stored externally in an xml file. Plus it can be easily moved/edited and backed up...

This is looking great, pretty much as everyone has expected. We know this will be worth the wait. Thanks to you and the rest of the Ortus team!

I did but those screens don't use it, the corners are just hidden by the sleeve. Other screens do use the rounded edge but not where they may cause a performance hit. Infact looking at Chuck you can see its slightly out of line, I'll have to fix that up.

Cheers

Ben

This is the first I've heard of this. Are there are going to be two competing "enhanced interfaces", Phoenix and Ortus?

From what I can tell (and I may be wrong - these things tend to change) Ortus is a SageMC import.

Phoenix is not really, but more or less, the NEW SageMC.

btl.

I had Bialio’s understanding of Ortus being more of an STVi for SageMC or Phoenix when it’s released…

So essentially, in the next so-many months we are going to have 3 STV options? Default, Phoenix and Ortus… We could really say 4 STV’s since SageMC will be around for while as well.

Is that right?

Plucky is correct Its a complete STV installed via Sage's default UI.

We're not really in a competition with Phoenix but I'd be telling porky pies if at this stage in development I didn't want Ortus to be better. It never was intended to be better but things have changed/moved on and now we have a good team the skies the limit (well the HD200 is actually the limiting factor).

Competiton is a good thing for both teams. I'm sure they will have plenty of good ideas and we do also, its just that I've not mentioned all of ours yet.

Cheers

Ben

I completely agree. Ortis, Phoenix, SageMC, SageMC with Plucky and razrsharp's STVi's will all benefit from each other. And don't forget, Jeff mentioned in his interview with Brent that updating the UI is on Sage's "ToDo" list.

It's certainly an exciting time to be using SageTV. So many different things to be looking forward to. All the more reason to get it up and running so that you're ready when these things come to fruition, rather than simultaneously trying to figure out what you screwed up when installing SageTV itself.

I did some playing around as I waited on jaminben to provide me with the latest Ortus to work on. I just played around with the latest SageMC and did some graphic modifications/layout and some studio stuff. Some of these graphics are what may show up in Ortus. I just call the SageMS for now, MS stands for the XBMC theme MediaStream.

Can someone tell me how to move the preview window? It doesn't show up in my screen shots, but it is in the default SageMC location. I need to move it, but I can't for the life of me find where it is in studio. I'm speaking of the little preview window for thumbs and playing video while in the recordings screen.

At one time I could have sworn there was a SageMC option to choose the base font without having to do it in studio. Am I overlooking that now, or was it removed due to some sort of issue?
