Problems with new extender

I have started this thread as a place for us to submit problems we are experiencing with the new HD extender.

THIS DOES NOT SUBSTITUTE for submitting bug reports, It is my hope that we can submit our problems here first, and then if we cant solve them, to report them as bugs.

Mods if this is a problem, please let me know, or if we could make a sticky it would be great.

Here is my first post:

1: When playing a file coverted to mp4 I switched back to 2 programs I was recording while the video played and got a black screen with no audio or video. Turning the extender off and back on did not correct the problem. I stopped the recording, then manually tuned to the station and got the picture and sound back.

2: Some files encoded to mp4 will play the video but no sound, they are xvid encoded videos, if someone knows a program to determine codecs used that I can run these videos through to determine the codec it would be appreciated.

Well, it won't be sticked... You are free to start your topic, but most people find it more useful to keep the discussion of a problem in a thread specific to that issue rather than group a bunch of different issues in one place. (In fact, I've been known to move new issues out of an existing topic if it doesn't fit the original discussion.) It also helps to have the title of a thread detailed enough so people know what might be discussed there... such as something like "MP4 playback has video but no sound" instead of "Extender problems".
