need to add custom channels

I just got the Motorola DCT-5100 cable box as I'm one of the test users for our area. The way I have the box set up is I run s-video to the Hauppauge card and component cables to the HDTV. Anyways, if I view HD channels, the S-Video is a downconverted signal. So I then just switch my TV to the component inputs and audio.

I want to switch to the HD channels with Sage to keep it from getting confused (let it still manage the channels). Problem is, they are not in the guide as ones to choose from. Comcast's lineup is updated on their website to reflect the channels. They are:
185 SHOWTIME HDTV DIGITAL EAST
186 HBO EAST HDTV DIGITAL
187 ABC -- WLS-DT
188 NBC -- WMAQ-DT
189 CBS -- WBBM-DT
190 INF -- WFLD-DT
191 DISCOVERY HD THEATER

Is there a way that I can add custom channels? I mean, for ABC, NBC, and CBS I can just remap the channels. For the others, however, I need to add them.

I'm in an area supported by Sage. Zip code: 60302

TIA

There's no way to currently add custom channels like you're asking. Since you're using a 'test box' the problem is that Comcast isn't submitting all of their programming lineup information to our data provider.

Thanks.
Hopefully they'll submit the channels before too long.

It is possible to import your own data, I do it every day (I'm not going to tell you how, just that it is possible). Having said that, I really think an official way to import custom data into SageTV would do alot of good. Sure, you can't distribute XMLTV with SageTV, but you could at least read XML files with the xmltv dtd. And, you can even require that the customer subscribes to the Sage TV Service to read the XML data. This way everyone is happy, you get the money for the SageTV service, and people with weird channel lineups (like me) can use the service. For now though, I'll just have to stick with the XMLTV data for SageTV (I'll be paying for the sagetv service anyway when the trial expires, since i like this software and want it to survive, but the data is, to me, useless).

Are you saying you import your own data into SageTV currently?

Yes, I do. Don't worry, there are no patches, disassemblies or anything in involved. I read the EULA a couple of times before embarking on this, and I'm pretty sure I'm not in breach. Now you are probably going to be able to guess how I do this, and make sure it can't be done in the future, I just hope you'll get custom channels or at least support multiple sources on one input before you do this
Basically, I have two lineups on the same input (rf).. I have bandpass filters, the lower 15 or so channels are from my basic cable, and the and upper channels are from my antenna, so I have both cable and local broadcast on the same input. I wasn't able to set this up in SageTV, so I had to provide my own lineup. The XMLTV data is a far cry from the Sage TV Service data though, so I'd much rather use that.

I second that request. Your software seems exactly what I am looking for to use the PVR250 as it should be used.
But I am living in Germany and would have to import a german tv guide into SageTV...

I have a similar need to customize listings. I have one PVR-350 card and use the coax input only from an antenna. I live in the country, between two local broadcast markets and receive over-the-air channels from both. I have not been able to find a way to combine the EPG data from both.

There are references in old forums to using zipcode for selecting channels, but I can't find that capability now. Other EPGs have it.

In addition, I have a C-band satellite receiver modulated onto a UHF channel and combined with the antenna, so I need to manually add that channel (without EPG data).
