viewing video, controls shown

Hi, is there a way to have the controls (PLAY,PAUSE,FF... etc) shown on screen whenever I click a remote button?

I like to fastforward a lot (how do u think I can crap 2 hour show in 1 hour (using subtitles)).

And it realy bothers me to have to hit info after each and every ff action.

So is there such a preference?
