Full Screen messing up

Hello, I have downloaded the trial version of SageTV, and I think I might buy it, but I will have to resolve one problem. I have my compter set up with a 19" monitor on my VGA of my ATI Radeon 9500 Pro, and my Sony KV32HS510 running off the component dongle. I can view everything fine on the TV, but when I try to put it in to Full Screen mode, it becomes huge, like it's trying to go to my Desktop Screen Size (1600x1200). My TV is running at 640x480 (witih Power Strip). How do I get the program to propely size itself to the screen?

I've had a similar issue. The best advice I got when I asked was simply to maximize the Sage window in the second monitor by right-clicking on the "SageTV" tile in the taskbar. The only difference is that you'll still see the title bar; your practical viewing resolution won't - as far as I understand it, which isn't much - change between full-screen and maximized windows.

One recommendation that didn't work for me but might for you was to make your second monitor your primary monitor, and set all your programs to open on the "secondary" screen. Obviously, that's only going to fly for you if your display properties give you that kind of control - I think that some Geforce cards give you a control panel to do that, but that's just a guess. There are shareware apps, too, but it was too much of a hassle.

If your Sage monitor is a TV, and you're using an ATI card, then there's a solution that's worked nicely for me. In Display Properties/Settings/Advanced/Displays, check the "Overscan" box in your TV properties page. It will push the border of the image just slightly beyond the visual edge of the display; you'll lose a very small amount of picture around the edges, but it's minimal, just covering the title bar. It's the same, practically speaking, as full screen, but without the hassle.

Thanks for the reply, your solution worked. I'm using component out, so the idea on selecting overscan won't work for me, but you're other suggestion did, thanks again.
