Sage 6.2 on Vista -- "Boxes" instead of letters in Interface
I had Sage installed on my Vista box with no issues initially and recently after a reboot, my MVP started showing "boxes" instead of letters for the main menus. The Video Search window was fine.
I thought this was related only to the MVP but when I fired up the Sage interface on the Vista box, it has "Boxes" instead of letters throughout it. I've attached a screen shot. Any idea what font I'm missing or how to recover this? Thanks. Ray.

The MVP loads all of its software from the SageTV PC whenever it gets plugged it. This includes program code, graphics and fonts. It's basically the same 'code' the SageTV PC runs. So it's not strange that your 'font' issue is affecting both systems.
Have you made any changes or updated Java lately? Added/deleted fonts? Experienced a system crash? If this is a NEW install of SageTV, you will want to install the latest version of Java from Sun. Once you clear this issue on your Vista PC you will probably need to UNPLUG the MVP to allow it to load a fresh copy of the application from your SageTV PC. Thanks for the tip. I hadn't messed with Java for a while, but went to the Java site and found that I had the "OEM" version installed. After updating to the latest version, and stopping/starting the Sage Service, it looks like that resolved the issue on the PC.
I'll go bounce the MVP and all should be good. Thanks again. Ray.
