Remote control sluggish with 6.2.10

Hi all,

A failed boot drive on my Sage system forced me to rebuild it from scratch. In doing so, I installed the latest production verison (6.2.10). I also had the chance to fix some setup problems that I have learned from this forum over the years like setting the recording directory as UNC paths. Anyway, I noticed an issue right away that I never had before (previously I ran 6.1.19)... sluggish remote control response. I am constantly getting the swirling busy icon.

I have a:
Dell Precision 670 (3 Ghz)
Hauppauge 350
45 button remote (silver)
Java 1.6.3

Anybody else seeing this kind of behavior???

I have the same problem, but oddly, not initially after upgrading to 6. For some reason, in the last two weeks, the whole system has bogged down, lots of twirling circles, delayed remote commands and sluggish (really so) navigation thru menus. Any ideas?
