some type of freeze during showings

I just build a new htpc but I am having one issue. I have some type of freeze in the showing. Hard to explain but it occur maybe once every 10-20 minutes and it just freeze the video but it like real quick less a second however it something I can notice. This is SDTV since I have not yet try HDTV or add the HDTV card in.

Any idea what it may be?

My system spec
Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H board, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz , Seagate ST3750640AS 750GB SATA/300, PVR-500, G.SKILL 2GB, LINKSKEY Card Reader, Antec New Solution NSK2480 Case, Samsung Black DVD R/W.

Thanks
Bill

Yes the recording storage is formatted with 64K.

I partitioned the harddrive into 2 partitions.

One is 20 gigs which was formatted by the XP cd installer for XP and SageTV apps.

Other one is 730 Gig for all recordings storage only and it formatted at 64k blocks because that what I selected when I went to format it after installing the OS.

To describe this better I would say it like an old record player skipping. I don't know if it skip in sound but I can notice it in the video.

It not serious or bad or anything like this but it something I can notice every time it happens.

I am suspecting Autoplay in XP is interfereing it and going to try disabling it next.
