Unhappy Good quality/reception in tuner software package, but not Sage?

I went to Best Buy today and bought a Visiontek HD 650 and a Pinnacle HD USB. Few concerns:

1. The Visiontek PCI card gets decent reception, but it jitters a little. Also, in the Sage software under the channel selection the signal strength ranges from 30-45% which I am not sure how it should be.

2. The Pinnacle HD tuner inside of Sage rarely display and sometimes shows 'no signal'. However, in the channel setup the signal strength shows around 100%.

When using the TV Center software that came with the pinnacle tuner, the picture quality is perfect and no jitters. However, I'd rather use Sage to view the HD shows.

Also, the two tuners are using the same antenna through a splitter.

Anyway to get these things working?

I read a few posts on here about changing the audio/video decoders so I'll try that tonight. Would be great to get this to work inside Sage.

Yes. There are MANY posts on this. Instead of jitters, seach on stutters and stuttering and your model number video card. BTW, what make and model video card are you using to connect to the HDTV?

I could be wrong but aren't those you TV recording cards? I was looking for your playback video out card. Your issue is not with recording, it is with playback. Your video card has a lot of the bearing on how recordings playback.
