Corrupted time index on recording programs

Has anyone else had the issue (again) where whilst watching a program it suddenly jumps to a latter part of the show, then won't allow you go go back just keeps going forward when you click on the rewind buttons or use the time slider?

This has only starting occurring again with the latest release of SageTV, is there away to reindex the file so I can actually watch the program??

I have but I thought it was because I have been trying different decoders/settings to get smooth HD playback.

did you update your hauppauge drivers? that's sounds like the recording is corrupted, did you open the recording with windows media player or similar?

some hauppauge drivers have a problem like this, and a quick reg setting will fix it.

I'm assuming you've already applied the Hauppauge Timeline Registry Fix.

Many of us have been using a pay-for product called Video Redo(Quickstream Fix) to fix corrupted mpeg-2 recordings.

I don't know of any free programs that fix timeline corruption. At least, not well.

This registry fix will correct timeline problems on the PVR 500 but the fix doesn't work with the PVR 250 which exhibits the same problem. I finally ended up having to replace my 250 with a 150 because of this. I've been much happier since.
