Am I in for a sage reinstall here?
Two issues, possibly related, probably not:
For a while now, my HVR-1600 has been vanishing from Sage (still works fine showing ota hd through the hauppauge wintv thing) when I reboot, and must be reconfigured within sage, only to disappear again. I have not reinstalled the card itself since it still works with wintv.
Also, my reboots have gone nuts too. It seems to hang while starting the service, the start menu/taskbar is non-functional with just an hourglass. If I start the Sage UI, it hangs on the splash screen with the "starting service" message. I cannot stop the service either through the sageservicecontrol.exe or through ctrl-alt-del task mgr. I also cannot use msconfig to prevent it from starting, because msconfig won't hangs on applying the change. Finally, I can't shut down XP gracefully, it just hangs on "saving settings". Once, it was fixed by leaving it unplugged for the night, although that made little sense to me.
What would you do? If I reinstall sage, can I use copies of the wiz and the other thing (name escaping me)?
