UK sudbury freeview transmitter .frq file
I don't suppose anyone has a current one of these they could post please?
ITV2 seems to have dropped off the map and I cannot find out why? I'm possibly missing a few new channels too. Much obliged... Michael |

I assumed you've tried a rescan? If not, back up your FRQ file, detach the tuner from the lineup, scan, check the entries in your new FRQ file, merge the two, then re-attach your lineup...

How to I get back to where I was?
HI,
I did that - thanks I now have a new frq file. However, I prefer to amend my existing files rather than take the new one. So I shut everything down and restored my old ones with a few tweaks. But the channel setup, for both my tuners not just the one I removed from the line up, seems to have remembered channels that where in the scan but are not in my .frq files. How to I get it back to how it was? Michael |

Did you use a lineup or just the on-air epg?

I'm using XMLTV for EPG.
I think I sussed it just now. I just restored a sage.properties a made a copy of before the change and all is well. Thanks for your help. |

Cannot find the program id for "Dave" channel sudbury
I cannot get the scan to find this channel .
But I know its there! I have a similar problem with Sky3 but I know the program id and frequency and putting in the .frq file gives me reception. For channel "Dave" I have no idea of the program id Anybody there on sudbury can tell me? |

There are settings in your PreDefined FRQ file that can be tweaked to improve scanning. Probably best to raise a support request with Sage and Qian will take you through it...

Progress
Well I went about this a slightly different way.
I got: http://www.coolstf.com/tsreader/ I analysed the transport stream. Knowing the frequency I was able to get the list of PIDs and find the correct one for the missing channel. I updated my .frq files and closed down tsreader and for good measure restarted the PC. However, I still get "No signal" even though tsreader shows images from the channel. Does sage have some signal strength or other threshold below which it will refuse to tune to a channel? |
