sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-5, 0x80040256)

During the "Test Standard Video Playback", I am getting an error, "There was a Playback Error in playback. Details: sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-5, 0x80040256): There was a problem rendering the audio portion of the content for playback.

I have read the thread, http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...ght=0x80040256 which led me to download the latest drivers from Hauppauge for the PVR-150MCE, run hcwclear.exe to remove the drivers, reboot, run HcwDriverInstall.exe, and reboot. To no avail ... I still get the same message.

Note that when I run the channel setup, Scan for Available Channels, it is able to find all of the channels.

My Source Details:

Source: Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Captuer TV Tuner.
Functioning: true.
Network Encoder: false.
Currently being used for live TV: false.
Input Type: TV Tuner.
RF Channel: N/A.
Cable/Antenna: Cable.
EPG Lineup: Mediacom - Marshalltown.
Tuner Control: N/A.

Any suggestions?

The thread you referenced & the one it referenced mentioned reinstalling or updating the sound card drivers, not the tuner drivers. Did you try new drivers for the sound card?
