MVP Playback freezes after about 10 seconds in 6.2.10
I install version 6.2.10 today so I could try out the BDA drivers for my HD Homerun but it seems to have messed up my two MVPs. I upgraded from 6.1.8 but I uninstalled Sage first. To restore my recordings I restored my wiz.bin. The problem is that now my MVPs freeze when trying to playback my earlier recordings. They recordins play for about 10 seconds, when the video freezes and then the sound stops about 3 seconds later.
I upgraded my Java to 1.6 hoping that would help but it hasn't. My full client and my placeshifters play the same video just fine but not my MVPs. Anyone have any ideas? |

Update - got it working
I followed a sugestion in the hardware thread from MeInMaui (I think).
Summary: - MVP with HDHR. The HDHR shows were causing the issue for me. (I was able to find out this was the HDHR because converting/compresssing these files using sage was failing as well - even though other clients were more tolerant of the data). - Update to BDA drivers for the HDHR. A slight hassle to switch over, needed to re-setup all stations. - Here is what fixed things per the HW thread - remove the old entries of the HDHR from the sage.properties file. Allow the new install to re-insert a pristine set. After setting up the BDA drivers including removing the old tuners in sage.properties - the MVP works fine. Hope this helps. Regards, gk |

But I am having problems with my recordings from my r-5000 unit too. So changing the HDHR to use BDA won't solve the problem for me since the r-5000 only uses a network encoder. Must be a Sage problem with network encoders....

I am seeing the same problem too. Very weird.
And I have an R5000 too, in addition to the hdhomerun. I see this problem on SD shows, but only after moving to 6.2.10. I use SageMC. Thanks, Mike |

Has anyone made any progress on fixing this? This is a huge WAF for me. I may have to go back to 6.1.9 if this isn't addressed.
Thanks, Mike

Just wanted to chime in that I am having this exact problem with programs recorded via network encoder from firewire, but I also have a HDHR BDA installed which doesn't have this problem.

Me too.
I can stream .avi files just fine. Live or recordings from the r5000 freeze. |
