MVP connected. Using it causes scheduling of all shows

Hello All,
I'm relatively new to Sage TV in that I've been using it for about 3 months now. It has worked very well, and placeshifter is a sweet addition....nothing like going to visit the in-laws and still being able to watch my shows, or show them new pictures. (albiet it took a while to set up a dynamic web address)

Anyhow, I like it enough that I purchased a used Hauppauge MVP for the bedroom. I hooked it up and it worked right away. SWEET! I do, however experience the random reboot problem that is well documented in the forum as a Vista 'feature'.

Here is the real problem I'm posting for: I noticed the next day after my first MVP use, that in the Recording schedule, Sage had booked to record just about every station at every hour. It was pain-in-the-butt clearing it all out to avoid conflicts with the shows I wanted to record. At the time I didn't connect it as a problem related to the MVP, but when it happened again later in the week after a second MVP use it was clearly related. So hear are my questions:

1)Has anyone experienced this and have a solution?
2)For future ref, if this was to happen again is there an easier way to mass clean out the scheduled recording? Perhaps they are stored in an XML file that I could much more easily edit?

I don't believe I've heard of this happening before. At first, I thought it was just going to be that the STV always had TV playing as the menu background or in the preview window, or that Intelligent Recording was enabled, but that doesn't sound like it if lots of shows were scheduled & created conflicts.

The shows were all scheduled as Manual Recordings, or what? What had you been doing in the UI on the MVP? If you can reproduce this while using the default STV wilth all hidden features turned off, you should report it to SageTV. And, try deleting the MVP properties files in the 'clients' subdirectory of the SageTV install location so that you start with a fresh MVP setup.
