I wonder if it is because WABC DT generally broadcasts most of its shows in 720p instead of 1080i.

I think they have a beer machine in the control room Our FOX affiliate (WJBK-DT) plays smooth as well.

I also have trouble playing back our ABC affiliate in HD, WATM-DT.

Typically live playback is OK, and when I initially start a recording to watch, it's fine. But if I fast forward or rewind or pause... I have to stop the recording and restart it to get it smooth again.

Every once in awhile it seems to lose sync and gets jerky on it's own too.

Other channels are fine.

I've noticed that if I run Sage in Overlay mode with 3D acceleration off, that the jerkiness and stuttering on ABC shows goes away.

I would almost want to say that means their may be something goofy with my system... but... why does Fox (720p) and nbc/cbs/pbs (1080i) work perfectly with VRM9 and 3D accel. work perfectly?

Reviving this thread to clarify.

IS PS still better then TS? Is that true for all HDHR formats (QAM and ATSC) and true for sagedct based recordings pulled from a Ceton card, or would they be different?

thanks
