ATI 650 locks up system

I just put in an ATI 650 to go with my HVR 1600 and when I go to check any HD channel it locks up the computer forcing me to reboot. I actually got as far as adding the new source and viewing some channels but when I go to the guide and try to watch it just locks up the machine. I'm running Vista 32.

Could be an irq conflict. Try putting the ATI card in a different pci slot. I recommend turning off your psu switch before you change slots. I just put a different modem in my pc the other day & my pc turned on right after I put the modem in the pci slot. Luckily no damage occurred, but it was still scary.
