PVR-150 IR Transmitter and SA 4250HD

Has anyone had any luck getting the PVR-150's IR transmitter to control the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HD? After all of the SciAt codes in the Hauppauge configuration app didn't work, I let it search through all the codes and none were even able to turn the box on or off. I'll switch to firewire if I have to, it's just perplexing that the transmitter isn't able to control this box.
