Avermedia A180 QAM Scanning Problems

I had originally started with .7 in working with my A180 and it scanned with no problems but I had yet to remap the channels (minus some minor farting around). I decided to do a clean install to upgrade and uninstalled Sage and deleted the user/appdata/local/virtualstore/blahlblag/Sage/blah/blah/crappdirectorystructure.

After the reinstall one of two things happen.

1. It finds 9 Qam Channels right off the bat on the first channel and nothing else in the next two hundred channels.

2. It finds nothing.

All of my channels are between 65 and 100 with most being in the 70s. The Avermedia application works just fine and picks up all encrypted and non-encypted channels.

Any ideas? This one has me befuddled. No services are running.. Several reboots.. Confirmed that Avermedia app works (yes I shut it down). Below is the current .frq file for the avermedia card. I have deleted the directory and reinstalled the program twice. No go

Whoaaa...wait a minute. So this is the card you have and you got QAM to kinda work. I didn't even think it worked at all yet. Did you have to do any tricks to get it going?

I have an A180 that I use for OTA. If I upgrade to 6.2, will I be able to scan for Clear QAM channels? Or will I have to use the EVO-SOFT package?

Thanks

I had no clue my A180 would work for clear QAM signals. Does it require new drivers or anything?

As long as you are using Vista and hte latest drivers, it should work with the newest release.

Whoa... where exactly does it say that Sage supports clear QAM on the A180? The release notes say it supports the M780, but no mention of the A180...

This is news to me also--so the A-180 works with Sage for clear Qam????? I have been using Evo to do this but have to use the "Skelton Pc" to do it. I also have not seen this mentioned anywhere with the new release.
