Not working with Videoh dvd media center

Hi everyone, I'm new to this board. I just downloaded sage TV and the program looks really good. Unfortuneately, I cannot get it to work with Videoh DVD Media Center USB 2.0 external tv tuner card. I get the following error messages. "There was a problem utilizing the specific capture configuration Unable to configur the audio capture portion of the filter graph. Errcode=0x80004005." The other error message is "Thee was a problem with time control in DirectShow. Failed seeking the directshow filter graph after switching files. Errorcode=0x80004001. Can anyone help me to get this to work so I can see how this program is? thanks.

I don't think that product is supported. I looked at the Frey site under System Requirements, and it only lists the PCI version not the USB2. I'm not familiar with your product's Specs so I don't even know if Sage could/would support it soon.

Anyone else know more, or have first hand experience.

Please just take this as one user trying to help another. I in no way speak for Frey in an official sense.

it is not supported as you noted, the chip on the pci card is the same as the pvr 250 I believe, while the usb2 model uses another mpeg2 encoding chip that frey doesn't support. I'm not sure they will, the usb version is pretty unreliable from what I've read on places like dvdrhelp and amazon, and there are NO software updates at adaptec from the original, which I think indicates poor support (and perhaps a soon to be discontinued product?).

Unfortunately this isn't supported by Frey. .. but I must disagree with any comments about the device not working well. Mine has worked perfectly - capturing 720x576 PAL all the time using SnapStream BTV3.

I'd really like to see Frey add support for it. It has been a reliable device for me - on a PC that is solely used for HomeTheatre and is kept running 24x7.

I stand corrected, thanks for the info. I thought about getting one of these when they had the 100$ dvd burner/media center rebate, but sage's lack of support killed the deal. hopefully they'll add support.

I know this reply is a bit late, but let me add my opinion that the Adaptec unit works extremely well for me; I prefer it to the other units I tested (PVR250 USB and PCI versions, Leadtek TV2000XP Expert PCI). The weakness of the Adaptec is its software, not the hardware. It would be great if SageTV gave Snapstream some competition as far as support for the Adaptec product.
