There is no MediaPlayer that can playback the selected file while it's being recorded

Recently, I've seen the following error pop up a couple of times (I think with the last two betas) when playing a file that is actively being recorded. Anyone have any thoughts?

Error(-20): There is no MediaPlayer that can playback the selected file while it's being recorded

This has only happened on HD channels recorded via an HD HomeRun.

If I stop the recoding in progress and then watch the channel live, I can view the program with no trouble (of course, I lose the beginning of the show, which is a bummer).

I saw another thread that mentioned to always set "encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream" to true in Sage.properties.

I noticed that my HD HomeRun has two different settings for this property:

On one line it says:

mmc/encoders/269563760/100/0/encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream=true

And a little further down there is another:

mmc/encoders/269563760/encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream=false

Could this be an issue?

No thoughts on this?

I have since updated my properties file so that encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream=true in all cases, but the problem occurred again tonight.

I have filed a bug report, so hopefully I will learn more soon. This is a very frustrating issue.

If I let the recording run to completion, I get a different error when I try to play the file:

ERROR (-19): There is no MediaPlayer that can playback the selected file

However, if I try to play the recorded mpg in an external player (I tried Windows Media Player), it playsback with no issues.

Any thoughts?

I got this error when my Nvidia Purevideo decoder trial version ran out (and I had inadvently forgot to put in the registration number after I had purchased it). I know, I know, this is just one check.

Edit: Nevermind, I had forgotten you are only getting this within HD files. I was getting it for all files.
