Timeline Issues - from PVR500

I moved my setup in the middle of last week to a headless server - basically had to get the server on XP so that MVP would work, plus I just thought it would be cooler.

I got everything up and running fine, but I had a wierd recording snafu. It was on SciFi channel (Flash Gordon), which comes in from the PVR500 - just basic SD analog cable. When I played it back the timeline was just wonky.

I started watching the show and all was well. Then I got to the first commercial break and tried to skip forward. This seemed to have worked, but I ended up watching a portion of the show I had just watched. So I skipped ahead again for a while and finally got to the "second act" after the first commercial break.

This kind of weirdness persisted until I reached the end of the recording - according to the timeline in Sage that is. It was only about 25 minutes into the show. At that point I was no longer able to watch the file from Sage.

I copied the .mpg to my laptop and opened it there. It had the same weird timeline issues, however I was able to watch past the end of the timeline there and finish the show.

Any clue what might be going on here? How did Sage mess this up? I know this has been an issue (or one similar) on the HDHRun, but I've never heard of it happening with the SD Tuner Cards....

btl.

Thanks - that's probably it. I bet the difference is my tuners are now in an XP machine instead of Vista - and I never installed drivers in Vista (it recognized the PVR500 with me having to provide any drivers).
