New Beta and Windows Media Player

Did the upgrade from an earlier beta and now streaming media through Windows media player sounds like a chipmonk. Streaming through Quicktime sounds distorted like it's overdriven, but normal otherwise. I've tried stoping Sage and/or Sage service, no difference.

The ability to watch streaming video is important to me, so I have to do something. If anyone has a thought, I would appreciate it. I'm looking at reloading the whole computer from scratch on Saturday if I can't get it working by then.

Thanks...

Phil

I remember having such a problem a long time ago. After nothing else helped, I reinstalled directx and that fixed it. It was just a wild guess. You may want to try this.

I methodically re-installed drivers, directx, media player, and ultimately tried uninstalling sage. No luck. I ended up reloading from scratch, and that worked.

Thanks for the response Patlan, it was a good thought.
