SageMC Aspect Ratio problem

I'm having a problem using SageTV v 6.0.19.120 and SageMC STV v 6.3.2a.

I have a 16x9 display that is setup like this in the hardware setup before I loaded SageMC. All displays using SageMC look great, and TV looks good as well.

Here's my problem. I watch most of my TV using the 4.3 Aspect Ratio Mode. This used to work great. Sometime in the last few weeks, the screen started switching between the normal 4.3 look and a scrunched up 4x3 size. The scrunching taked place on on the hortizontal, not the vertical. I have black bars on the side of my screen as expected, but they grow when this switches.

It will switch back and forth like this on its own every few seconds. I'm not sure why.

Can anyone help?

No one knows anything about this?

What can I provide to help me get this problem fixed?

Sorry, I have never seen this before (also watching on a 16x9 screen)... Did you check if this also happens with the default STV ?

The later SageTV versions include automatic aspect ratio switching. This only seems to work when the Nvidia decoders "Display Type" is set to "Content default".

However when I tried this setting I got the problem you describe. In my case I think this is because it's a digital broadcast, but not a very good signal so it's not reliably recording the aspect ratio flag.

After switching back to "Anamorphic/Raw Aspect" in the nvidia decoder I can then control the aspect ratio using the "toggle aspect" button in Sage.

Are you using the Nvidia deocder and if so what is the display type set to?

I'm not sure. Where is this setting at? In SageTV or elsewhere?

I got it changed.

I put it back to content default. It was on raw.

I'll see how it goes! Thanks.
